Apple ditched google maps services in favour of their own, which they built from scrath, and considering how google had set the bar Apple deliveried brillantly with a vector based set of 3-D maps which look great even when zoomed in. Also, GPS companies are on notice since map offer also provides turn by rurn directions, traffic updates and a pretty sexy flyover feature.
The personal assistant now speaks more languages, is available on iPad and has access to lots more information. Ask Siri about movies, sports corners, make a reservation at a restaurtant or dicate a tweet or a facebook status.
And with iOS 6 feature making it’s way to cars, expect to ask Siri for directions by steering wheel mounted activation button.
Aiming to game aroung competitors like Google Wallet, iOS’s passbook keeps track of all your gift cards, boarding passes, movie tickets, coupons all of it. This feature is also location based, meaning your boarding pass will appear on your lockscreen ready to arrive at airport to check in.
4. Share it Photo Streams
As Apple continues to push it’s iCloud service, it’s no surprise they have upgraded photo sharing on iOS 6. It’s easier than never to share your pictures by simply selecting a photo, choosing who to share it with and finally hitting send. Photoshop simply loads it to the cloud where they can be viewed by other apple devices and there’s no limit to how many photos you can share.
Apple wasn’t kidding when they said the social network would be entirely intregrated into iOS 6. Share photos straight from the camera app, post your location from the maps, tell Siri to post a status for you and remember birthdays by having your calendar sync with facebook, also if your friends change their contact info on facebook it automatically updates in your contact app.
